The Nandi Room

Nandi is the bull which Shiva rides and the gate keeper of Shiva and Parvati in Hindu mythology – The brown and gold paisley wallpaper is by Zoffany and the bronze marble effect wallpaper is by Osborne and Little.  The pecan Louis XV caned 5 foot bed is from And So To Bed and the Indian caned sofa was bought at Lots Road Auction in Chelsea and recovered in Bridport.  The Indian style stained glass window was hand made by Flora Jamieson on South Street in Bridport and the small wooden Nandi statue was bought on ebay.

The 18th century Burmese jewelled shrine is from Yarrow Antiques and the consol table and the bedside tables were made to our specification by Asian Art.  The wall light over the consol table is by Phillipe Starck. In the corner of the bedroom by the fireplace there is roll top slipper bath.  There is an ensuite shower room and an arm chair by Sofa Workshop that folds out into a single bed.
